On November 14, 2005 I was given my first opportunity to take the next step in my real estate career. For each realtor, that next step means something just a little bit different. For me, it meant success and happiness instead of wondering whether I was in the right line of work. Don't get me wrong, averaging 29 homes a year over the first three years isn't bad, but long hours and too many failed deals in a declining market had me second-guessing myself. I even considered changing companies or possibly looking for a second job.
It all started in late October 2005 when I was sharing some of my concerns with a fellow colleague named Roger Weymouth. I explained to him that I felt 'lost' and concerned about my future in the business. After several long discussions and some great pointers, it came to my attention that this guy knew what he was doing. He had a vision. He had been through the good and bad of this business, not to mention he was the biggest producing agent in our office. About a week later he came to me with a vision. The vision wasn't for himself, it was for me! He had outlined a plan for each goal that I felt needed to happen for me to continue in real estate. He even took the opportunity to offer me a position as an outside sales agent for the Weymouth Group.
After several discussions with my wife and several discussions with Roger, I knew it would be a career-changing move. I was right! Nearly two years with the Weymouth Group has changed my production, family life and knowledge in real estate. I have closed twice as many deals with the Weymouth Group than in any other year. I believe that this truly helped me work on more important things in my life like my family. Instead of worrying on when that next transaction would close, I was making sure that I was spending quality time with my family. In retrospect, it is still amazing to see how much has changed in a positive way.

My son, Roger, and I have always worked together, but our businesses were separate. I joined Weymouth & Associates March 2011.
